Q & A with Dr. Wilfred Brown

We have a true family feel to our practice as most of our team has been with us long-term, and we have known many of our patients since we opened the practice in 1999 in Middlebury, CT. We’re all very approachable and prioritize good communication with our patients. We have a very warm environment with a personal touch—it’s a very welcoming atmosphere. We are always available to speak to patients and emphasize our availability.

The ability to change people’s lives by improving their personal aesthetic. The appreciation that patients express after their surgical journey is, for me, tremendously gratifying. We have frequent contact with patients who come for non-surgical treatments, which really establishes great relationships, and we get frequent updates about their lives and families.

I’ve always been very inquisitive and interested in the sciences, but at the same time, I enjoyed art. When I was in middle school, one of my best friends was diagnosed with leukemia, and I spent a lot of time with him while he was receiving treatment, which really piqued my interest in medicine.

During my training in plastic surgery, one of my teachers, who had an active aesthetics practice, strongly encouraged me to focus on aesthetics, which combined my love of surgery and artistic ability. I strongly feel that without an eye for proportion and artistic balance, it’s difficult to achieve great results. This is something I try to do in every case I perform.
